The introduction of the app also saw a great improvement with the efficiency of getting admin done. “It has smoothened activity at store level. Movement in store has become more streamlined. The information we need to monitor is available whenever we need to get quick access to it.”
Whereas before, Powafix was inundated with excessive manual labour, the app now allows it to offer a large service by doing stock counts, quotes and even orders. “There has also been a slight increase in calls per week,” says Joel. The sales team is also raving about the new addition to their toolset.
“We have regular sales meetings with our sales force and they are loving the app. It has improved their selling ability when they’re on the road, and I think they enjoy the advanced nature of the app.”
So where will the new relationship with Field Office take the business? “Hopefully we’ll be able to roll the trial out to the Johannesburg branch, as it’s been taken up so well here in Durban.”
